Been to our new site yet?

Soooooo, have you visited our new site yet?  No?  Oh, you have to!

http://www.HeroToHero.US/

We have worked so hard to make a site that you can navigate easily, one that you can interact with, and one you will hopefully enjoy and share with others.

We've taken all of the inputs you've offered and tried to make them a part of this new endeavor.  The very best part is that we have complete control to make changes and update as events happen, and parts of our program change.

Some of the new features include:

The Calendar --- You can send us special dates, birthdays, memorial messages, deployment & homecoming messages, upcoming events, etc., and we'll add them for you.

The Message Board --- Join in the fun.  Post a topic, or ...  << Vote for the new mascot & sidekick!  Tell us about your hero.  Tell us what's on your mind.  As long as it's positive (and not political) it's welcome!

Spotlight On --- Here's where we put special program and events "In the spotlight".  Know of a great program, that could use a little special acknowledgement?  No sales programs.  This is for positive programs that benefit the troops, the firefighters, and police.  We started out with "Red Fridays", check it out!

How2Help --- Just like it sounds.  Want to know what you can do to help.  Here's where you can find out, and trust me ... We can always use your help!

There is so much more there.  Join the mailing list, take a peek at our Coin Vault, or check out some of the great links for military and first responders.

We're considering adding a Wall of Honor, so you can send us a photo of YOUR Hero, and tell us why you see them as a hero.  What do you think?  Go to the Message Board, and let us know.

And .... MOST important ... the shipping addresses and requirements for you to send us hero shirts from your hometowns ... AND the Troop Adoption Form for the troops wanting the shirts off the backs of their hometown heroes.

So, go check it out!  let us know what you think, and make sure your local fire and police know about the site!

Remember ...

THE NEW SITE HAS LAUNCHED!!!

Check it out!  We've tried to think of everything we've been missing in the past, stirred it up a bit and put it all into the new website.

Hope you like it, and if you have anything to add.  Please take advantage of the opportunities afforded, to do just that.  The site is always growing, so check back often.

WE'RE STILL HERE! NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHING!

Never fear.  If you're getting a weird reaction from our main site, www.HeroToHero.US , there is a reason.  We are in that limbo period as the new site launches.  They've told us it will be 24-48 hours.

Stay tuned ... We're more anxious than you!  lol

Never enough of a good thing - 3/2 STRYKERS

More photos of the 3/2 Stryker uncasing ceremony.

The photos were taken by DOIM (Department Of Information Management) Fort Lewis. They support all unit events here at Fort Lewis.

Thanks to the DOIM, and SFC Rendon, for making these available for us to share.

No, we haven't forgotten you!

We (Tara Buel, our amazing, fantastic, and gifted Graphics Art Director) have been burning the midnight oil to get the new site ready for launch!!!

We think you will like the new changes, and interactive features.

Just a few more tweaks and we're there!!!

Look for it by week's end.  You will be able to vote for the new mascots, you can subscribe to the newsletter, join our mailing list, post or respond to a message on our message board.

The shirt drive continues and troop adoptions are open.

This journal will be accessed with the click of a button from the new site!  Due to the nature of that program, it will be easier to load the photos here, and keep the option that you can cut & paste to your desire.

Hope you like it ... Watch for the welcome later this week!

Also, congratulations to our Heroes at our own Washington State Patrol!  They recently received the award for "Best dressed!"  Check it out!  There is an award for the best uniform ... Who knew?

They DO look sharp!  Those bow ties actually work!  Anyway, way to represent for the home state!  AND they participate in the Hero Shirt Drive, PackOut and Hannity's Crossing every year.

A HUGE salute to the WSP!

We don't do politics, but we are trying out the polling option added to the journals.  We will use some of the questions issues that have been sent to us from time to time.  This is a test basis period for the journal.  Not sure if itwill stay.  Depends on the reactions.  lj
